Living through every day to survive between the warzone is the hardest thing we could have ever imagined, especially when we need to remind ourselves to not give up and believe the good days are coming. Which is why “Hope” has become the main purpose and the goal of the retreat center design. The main focus is to bring the positivity and the hope to live through and overcome the traumas not only for the people in Demoso but also for everyone who has been fighting and struggling through the civil war.

The main concept and the design approach is to connect the architecture with five senses of healing together using local elements to become the physical and emotional support.

 

The existing water body, the forest, the green spaces, and the mountains are becoming the main actors of our design focused on “Environmentally Friendly '' approach with the combination of locally available materials and local-familiar building techniques and forms to create an unimposing but welcoming atmosphere. According to our site nature, we tried to use geometrical shapes, and the simplest forms within the green environment.
